Thanks, Dina. Haven't been in here lately, because have been too sick. Been

doing a lot of " sofa " time. <sigh>

Went up for genetic testing on Thursday. It is much more complicated than we

knew. Won't have any answers for 6-8 weeks, then might still not.

Just hoping and praying this is not something I passed on to Josh. He has

enough to contend with, with OCD.

He told me he is feeling stressed from all that is going on, yet I cannot find a

way to get him up to his therapist right now. Too far away, and I've been too

sick to drive. He says it is not OCD, just regular stress, but I worry that it

will morph into OCD. We have to find a way to keep him from crumbling through

all this too.

Thanks for asking, Dina.

Looking forward to and hoping for better days ahead.

(((hugs))) BJ, sorry you're still feeling so lousy!

Could Josh do a phone consult with his therapist? Sorry he's also feeling some

stress with this but glad it hasn't pricked his OCD. Aside from results of the

genetic testing, what's next for you? (hope all your testing is done!)

Sorry it's not more straight forward with the testing. That is a long

time to wait and then maybe not having all the answers you are looking

for. Hopefully Josh hangs in there and his stress level/OCD doesn't

increase.

Take care,

Dina

You will be in my prayers BJ.

Wierd that I took today to check these messages. It's been a while.  Joei is

doing good after a rough few months of learning what happens when she decides

she doesn't want to be on meds. Thingns are better now. At least it led us to

Luvox. She's off the anxiety med and the melatonin now. This is doing the trick.

Good thing for the beginning of junior high.

Thanks for all the help this group was to me when all of this was so confusing

and scary. BJ--- you especially. You seemed to really get me and you voiced my

fears before I was able to put them out there. I appreciate that. What a scary

time.

I had to step away from all the ocd online stuff because it was part of my

little breakdown at the beginning of the year. I was " obsessed " with finding out

about ocd! Imagine that! lol

I " m moving and won't have this email address anymore because this carrier does

not provide service. My grand mother passed a couple of weeks ago and Joei and I

are moving into her little house on my parents property. Not looking forward to

the close proximity, but in these hard times we do what we got to do! I wanted

to make sure I said thank you before I unsubscribed. This group kept me going

when I thought my world was crumbling.

Bless you all and your kids. What a courageous group!

Wow, thank you, everyone. I haven't been in a lot lately because I haven't felt

well. I sure miss the group. My hope is to get some answers and get my health

back so I can participate more, and more regularly. For now, it is day to day.

.. Some bad, some better. . Doing what I can, when I can.

I truly appreciate all your kind words, warm regards, and prayers. It was a

bright spot in my day to read all your kind words.

I've also benefited from this group. When Josh was at his worst, it was the

thing that held us together, at times. Hearing that I was able to help others,

as we were helped here, is a blessing.

Thanks.

Hugs,

Hi, Chris.

Josh's therapist said Josh could call, or email him, any time he needed, at no

cost, but Josh hasn't taken advantage of it. I think he is trying to work

through it himself. . Which is good, yet I don't want it to get out of his

control before he knows it. Could be I'm just over-worrying about him. It's

hard to turn that worry off. . . .Where you worry it will all blow up again in

times of stress.

The genetic testing is more for information for Josh and family. My treatment

is going to be the same, no matter the results due to the fact that my heart is

going into scary rhythms that could result in my dropping dead. Next, for me,

is getting back into the electrophysiologist, then most likely trying some more

meds to see if my body will tolerate them. No luck with that so far. I'm

having extreme reactions. If I can't tolerate them, then it will most likely be

a defibrillator, to shock my heart out of the life-threatening rhythms when they

happen.

If they can identify a specific gene in me that is connected to what they

suspect is Long QT Syndrome, they will be able to check specifically for the

gene in other family members who have similar heart issues, and even those who

don't (like Josh) to see if it is a risk they are unaware of.

So the testing it done, for me, but the medication trials have begun. And since

my physiology is such that its hyper sensitive to meds, it's not going well, so

far. All have made me worse and make me so sick I cannot function, at all.

Thank you for the hugs. Even cyber hugs are welcomed. :o)

Hugs,

BJ

Hi, Kathy. It's good to hear from you. I'm glad you chose today to come in,

and I'm glad I was well enough to get online too. :o)

I'm so sorry to hear that Joei had a setback, but it sounds like it was a

learning experience for her and she is stabilized again, which is good.

I'm so sorry to hear of your grandma. I hope it works out well with you living

so close to family. That can be a mixed bag, huh. lol

I'm sorry to hear you won't have email, but glad you were able to stop in before

unsubscribing. We are here if you ever have the need. Hope and pray the future

is good to you.

Hugs,

BJ

Hello BJ,

Thinking of you and hoping that you get to the bottom of things and feel better

soon.

I cannot tell you how much you and many others on this board have helped me.

When DD has her flares - I feel so alone and everything feels out of control.

Then, I can log into this wonderful group and I get so much help within a matter

of minutes. It's truly been a Godsend.

Sending positive thoughts your way,

Anne

Bj,

sorry to hear you've been so sick; I hope the medication trials work out for

you. You're in my thoughts. Kathy, best wishes to you; didn't get on the group

to see what your situation is but saw a post that you're unsubscribing; hope all

works out for you and Joei.
