Guest guest
" i had trouble posting earlier on. I tried to contact you tom about it because i was afraid it was either a) an error from the forum or something i said. But surely if it was the latter you would have said so, anyways enough of that. " Yahoo has lost a few of my posts this last week, so it might have lost yours too. Administrator

Guest guest
For your posts and help. Right now, since I have no support professionally I am upping his risperdal to .25 twice a day instead of just one a day ( per doc's orders). I was worried about over medicating, wrong med maybe for this and drowsiness in the AM and wanted to personally talk to someone first but that is not an option I guess, but at this point I don't care. I did talk to a very helpful pharmacist today ( I have found they can be a treasure of info-better than some nurses). So we will see how the day goes. Thanks to all of you-truly-there are times I just feel so alone:) Th ank
Guest guest
Hi , Glad you have found a helpful pharmacist, I have also relied on their expertise many times, and found if you can catch them at a good time, early morning or later evening, they are very happy to discuss the meds, and side effects and options. You might try posting a question to Dr. Geller here on this site. Like Bonnie I wonder about the influence of medications on behavior. Ours started with behavior stuff as we increased the sri. I know the risperidol is supposed to help counter this, but it may be that the sri is still too high, or the interaction between the two a problem. If you can be as clear as you can about the onset of behaviors before and after meds, and changes med to med. And what you have observed that is " fixed " , or doesn't change no matter what. So that you can try and break down the parts of it all, as well as the big picture. Not sure how clear that sounds, but I think you know what I mean. In the end if you can come up with a really specific question to Dr Geller, I think you will get a better reply, is what I am trying to say. I just read about how calming cal/mag can be. They were calling calcium a natural tranquilizer, the magnesium is good for anxiety, and you want to take both together. Ours takes it at night, and I'm adding it to the morning. I take it too, along with B6(energizing and calming). Hang in there ! Barb > > For your posts and help.
