Dear Dr. Gellar,

my daughter is on Lexapro, now back down to 10mg from 20. During the period

when she was on 20, I tested her blood glucose because her appetite has been out

of control since being on this med. Her fasting glucose was normal, but when I

checked it an hour later after eating breakfast, it was very low (even below

normal ranges). I would think it would be elevated I did these checks in the

lab where I work, so I know they're correct. Can Lexapro cause such a

fluctation? She's also gained about 30 lbs and this concerns me a lot. Any

thoughts you have on both these issues would be appreciated.

Thank you!
