Hi , hope his day goes well. Also hope the extra dose of Risperdal in

the p.m. will help keep him calm/rageless for the latter part of the day; might

be what he needs. Does the Risperdal calm him a lot? Wondering, maybe he won't

need the melatonin now if it does. Please keep us updated. (((hugs))) you've

had some tough days lately!

doc who wants me to give him an additional .25mg after school. He is 6 and on

..25 mg risperdal in the morning, Zoloft 50mg, Melatonin 2 mg. He takes the

risperdal and Zoloft in the AM. I know he will be really zonked from this but

it may calm him. Just wanted to know if others have done this?

Risperdal does not make him sleepy-although at the beggining it makes him kinda

" drunk " -no other way to describe it. But He was not able to sleep with just

Risperdal alone. And now he takes it in the morning and even before would take

it aroound 5 or 6 pm because after about a week-no grogginess. Maybe it's the

dosage but doc sais to keep him on the Melatonin. The Risperdal seems to keep

him from having mega blowouts but not OCD stuff and not temper in general. It

wears off though because I think he is good in the AM because of it but by 4PM

all bets are off!
