Just a suggestion that I wish my daughter would let me do with her -

but she won't. But maybe it would work for someone else whose child

is more open to it. My therapist does an energy healing technique

with me called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). It is simply naming

or describing a problem or anxiety and tapping on specific points on

your body. It has been remarkably helpful for me with my own

anxieties. Here is the website for it - there is a free manual you

can download or you can get the manual for a small cost on Amazon. I

find it really helpful to do it along with my therapist but I also do

it at home when I am feeling stressed. Your stroking of her face just

reminded me of this and how calming it is. http://www.emofree.com/

The website seems kind of hokey which turned me off at first, but it

is a great tool to have for anxiety. I am pretty sure that it could

be really helpful with OCD anxieties but my daughter will not do it -

afraid her OCD will pick up the tapping and become a ritual. I do

understand her worry on that. She finally did try it once and said it

helped but still resists doing anything that will be helpful for her.
