I'm 44 and for the past 4 yrs I have had many signs of both.... rashes, swelling of my cheek, inflamed rib area, lately every day i have a bad case of hives. back to the front of my leg in much pain , emotional upsets, rash on my face and so on ... my grandmother had lupus and a first cousin had scormaderma (sp) I live in MA area and i feel like my doctor thinks i'm a hypercordic! how does one find out if they have one of these dieases? I did have cateract surgery last may, in which i had inflamation after the surgery and (plaque) type of damage on the back of my eye ...in the course of two months i saw every eye surgeon under my health plan (fallon) only one dr was very concern of what was happening to my eye. Lynn where in MA are you being check for lupus/sjogrens.... Gayle
Guest guest
Are you seeing a rheumatologist? They are best equipped to get at the root of diseases such as lupus. Welcome to the group.
