Hello all,

Well, this is the second day of school (11th grade for my dd) and UGH! She

decided a couple of weeks ago that she wanted to try and wean off her Zoloft so

now she is on 75mg from 100. Today I could see it was catching up with her.

She is exhuasted, was late to school (this has been a real problem for her in

the past, being late. She seems to dawdle, then gets angry at ME when we are

late. It got so much better over the summer now its BACK. That anxious anger

(usually aimed at me, her safe place). Plus jr. year is very stressful and I

know she is feeling it. I am concerned that her OCD symptoms will return as her

dosage is lowered, and she has already had issues with skin picking. I talked

to a new therapist for her today, so hopefully she will agree to go, but I am

dreading dealing with the school for the excuses absences.

I can't wait to get out of the public school system! I know none of this is

their fault, but all the aspects of it are just adding to the stress.

She wants to begin to drive herself to school, but honestly, unless she can get

this morning anxiety calmed down, there is no way! She did summer school and

drove herself, and did just fine. She just seems so fragile right now.

Sorry for the vent, I'm just depressed thinking of going through another school

year and its already turned south! Usually it takes til Christmas break before

we see the stress signs.

Thanks for listening! Hopefully tomorrow is better...

Tina
