Just now a series of commercials came up. The first was a lengthy commercial about meningitis. It talked about how normal a person with it could look even a day before they died and told more about the disease, how it is spread, including by kissing, etc.

The next commercial? One by Dentyne that was full of people kissing.

What kind of mixed message is this? First a public service announcement telling kids to be careful followed by one encouraging irresponsibility.

I've seen other examples too, like commercials warning about increasing STD rates followed by heavily sexual commercials, usually several of them.

Any wonder that STD rates amongst teens is skyrocketing?

Well I've heard it said many times sex sells, it gets to the point of being

ridiculous. In the UK recently I have noticed an advert for a sausage that seems

to have lots of sexual tones to it and also recently noticed this ad'

Hmmmmmmmm bit of a long link, possibly have to copy and paste into address bar,

but basically a fish finger being sexualised (sheesh!).

It only shows you what appeals to people.

Give them this: " These fish sticks are high in vitimins and minerals, low in

cholesterol, and good for you. Plus, they taste great! " and people will ignore

it.

Make a fish stick into a sex icon and they will buy it up in droves.

That is human nature for you, and just goes to show how easily people are

manipulated. It suggests they have weak minds.
