I was wondering...Does anybody know a family who has brought a doctor to court because he told them to terminate a pregnancy of a baby with down syndrome? We only hear stories of those who wish they terminated suing. Dont you think it was about time someone did that?PatSent from my iPad

This is sad and very telling.

Kurt is not on this list, but please thank him.

They live in the South Hills, Pittsburgh, PA, my old stomping grounds.

His daughter Chloe is on the cover of the book

"Making a Case for Life: A New Definition of Perfection" here

Yes!We'd need legal grounds--any attorneys here that know what law would be violated? Harrassment? Intent to assault? Anything in ADA about discrimination...hate crime?Just thinking...Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerrySender: DownSyndromeInfoExchange Date: Fri, 6 Aug 2010 04:02:51 -0700 (PDT)To: DownSyndromeInfoExchange <DownSyndromeInfoExchange >ReplyTo: DownSyndromeInfoExchange Subject: Re: [DownSyndromeInfoExchange] Re: Fwd: Wrongful Birth Lawsuit - Family Feedback! It is ethically wrong, for one thing. I am sure doctors are not supposed to suggest something like that, unless the mothers health would be in danger. It is a personnal decision. Also the information they give - if any - is biased. stotkho study reveals that. Maybe would be a good idea to contact him about it? I am sure with all the parents he heard, he should know if any of them took legal action - or would be willing to do so...PatSent from my iPad
