Hi everyone My eight year old girl, Cypress, is in full inclusion 1st grade. We will be having a meeting on monday to discuss placement for next year. My husband and I have an advocate coming to this meeting because our choice is full inclusion 2nd grade at this particular school (which does not have a self contained classroom). This year Cypress has started hitting, pushing, pulling hair and pinching. She sometimes does it out of anger and sometimes for when it appears as nothing at all has provoked her. This behavior does happen sometimes at home also with her little sister and brother. We have worked very hard at home to find the reason for the behavior and get rid of it, but it still persists. Has anyone elses child had issues with aggression? She has difficulty with speech and has the TANGO to help her. We have taught the other kids to tell Cypress to use safe hands and use a reward system for good behavior. All has shown minimal gains. I'm

afraid on monday the school is going to use her behaviors as a reason not to have her stay in full inclusion. Thanks for all your input.Stacee Mom to Cypress -8yrsSawyer- 6 yrsJocee- 3 yrs
