Dear Cristen,

It's good that you are taking a stand as you are. At 28 (you are the

same age as my daughter) you shouldn't have to suffer this at all, but

the least people can do is try to understand you. It's not like you

chose to have this disease!

I did at one time send a letter to all our friends and family

explaining what was wrong with me, and as it was a disease none of them

had ever heard of before, I think they promptly put it out of their

minds. As in, " if we ignore it maybe it will go away. "

I hope you do have a good time on your vacation, and it sounds like you

know when to take care of yourself. I hope your husband is

understanding and helpful. Mine is the only one, but after 29 years we

both know when to help each other.
