Guest guest
Judith, Hi my name is Kathy. I live in Pa. I have recently been put on the transplant list and it is making me crazy. I have been called twice so far the first was at 6 am and I was told not to eat and not come to the hospital until they called back. I got the call back at 1 pm! the other I had to get to the hospital two hours away and was there (blood work AGAIN and ready to go to surgery. Well, there was a girl who was sicker than me, so again I waited with a few family members with me". I am truly not upset that someone else needed the transplant. " O was there two am trying to relax and keep my mind off the wait... Thank God I am blessed with people around me that are good at distracting eachother In times like this. The nurses kept comming in to my room to see what was going on and thought We were nuts. Any way it is a waiting game that I am not sure I like. I have to be aware all the time that I might get a phone call and have to leave ASAP. When they call I have no idea what to do being so nervous. I wish they could tell you a date that you will be going in so you could at least be able to think about what needs to be done at home before I went. So Judith if you EVER NEED to vent feel free to email me so maybe we can help each other. When are you getting your transplant? I' ll be thinking about you ant praying that every thing goes okay. I think you said you were alone in this, only know that I might be able to ease your mind. If I can't I'll just drive us both nuts. JUST KIDDING!!! .."Kathy
