Guest guest Posted March 2, 2010 Report Share Posted March 2, 2010 Hi Bernice...I was diagnoised in 2003, finished treatment in 2004...Im going to be 60 in november and so far so good...your mom has a different geno type than yours..so No..you did not give it to her....when you get her results from the doc then you will be ready for the next step..Tell her to take it a day at a time....this is all so much to aborb..have her get copies of all her tests, by law we can request these and keep a record, for ourselves,it really helps us understand as we go... Keep asking questions... knowlege is Power...(and thats what kept me sane)...a little anyway..lol wishing you the best pattymc about my mom who was newly diagnoised i was diagnoised in 03 with hep c . my mom was diagniosed in 09 with hep c. i got it from a ex who was a hemophiliac and she does not knbow how she got it. she had a blood transfusionm almost three years ago. i want to know can hep c go undetected for years and still be in your body, if so how manny years? could she have gotten it from me, ionly had normal contact with my mom. she had a biopsy done on her liverfew days ago. she is geno type 1 and i am 2a. she is very concerned if she will live and how she got it. could she have accidently gotten it from a needle that was contaiminated when she was recooperating in a nursing home after her gastric bipass surgey.my mom is not old only 56 years old. can someone tell me or give me answers please.bernice Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
