God Bless you! You are a saint to take such good care of your mom with all your

other problems. Her experience in the nursing home was downright criminal. It

sounds like you're going to get very firm with her about the caregiver

interviews, appts., etc. That's so hard when it's a parent. It's that role

reversal we all dread. May God shower you with blessings for your

self-sacrificing character.....laura

surgery she went to a nursing home, but the nursing home was awful. (they lost

her meal trays and kept telling her they gave them to her, I was there and I

name there who did not get trays due to being on a feeding tube) her TV broke

and they did not fix it, broke for over a week.... and then we found out they

blew off 2 neurosurgeon appts and 2 oncologist appts.

She begged me to take her home, I told her I would but we needed to get a

caregiver to help me, cuz of my husbands cancer and my disabled kids and my own

illness.she agreed. Got her home Sept 30, and she has cancelled every

caregivers interview I have tried to set u (she calls and cancels them when I

leave the room to go pee)

She cannot walk, is incontinent, and watches TV 24-7. (I hate TV)

I cannot leave her alone.....so, unplanned, I have been living on her family

room sofa 6 inches from her....

She refuses to go to her doc appts, now, refuses to allow my siblings to know

she is not going, refuses for them to know she cannot walk and is

incontinant.....and lately refuses all phone calls and visitors.

Meanwhile, my husband is battling new cancer in his bladder alone, with our

kids, whose symptoms are flaring up again while I struggle to figure out a

balance or answer to this whole mess. My 10 yr old misses me so much......
