Tess--shin splints

Dear Tess,

Ouch! I can sympathize with that, as I " enjoyed " shin splints about a

year ago. Remember, you are way more active now than you have been in

a long time, so you are putting stress on areas that have not been

stressed before. Bet you're doing more walking, right? Good news is,

that it is easily corrected, and I have had no problems since.

I'm waiting to hear from the ortho who is scheduling surgery on my

shoulder, probably some time in the next 2 weeks. Going for an MRI

tomorrow, and for now he says arthroscopic surgery, but most likely

will progress into more complex stuff as he takes the " hook " off,

clears up some arthritis in my collarbone, and if needed, repair the

rotator cuff. As long as I can get rid of the pain, that's ok with me.

Well, for now, friend, as you said " Cool It! "
