Guest guest
After 7years of PA I also developed Spondylitis and Ileitis. Now I am on MTX after only being on NSAIDS or pred before. After only 3 weeks on MTX I daresay it is too soon to tell if there will be any relief-I could say my hands and feet seem better but not my pelvis/hips/spine. I also agree with that regular movement of some kind is real important. I use different things depending on how I am but really like swimming and biking. Sometimes just stretching exercises and low-level yoga really helps. I especially find it important to do some sort of movement early in the day, even before I get out of bed. Otherwise, those first steps are a killer (ha, ha), and I have to go down a flight of stairs to get to the bathroom. Good luck and keep challenging your Dr to help you. There are resources out there. Guest guest
Hi all, I saw the rheumatologist for the first time today. I was expecting her to blow me off and tell me it was all in my head, but it didn't go that way. I left her office with instructions to continue the prednisone and she wants me to begin methotrexate. The more I read up on it, the less I want to take it. EEEK She seems to be leaning toward some kind of spondylitis. The more I read up on that, the more it seems to fit. I'm stressing. Anyone out there with AS? or other spondylitis? Any words of wisdom? Thanks!
