Dear Group,

Hi, I know it has been awhile, but everything takes so long to do when you

are in a cast! Yes, I know, I really do need some cheese with my wine, but the

fact is still true. The last three exrays over the last 2 months are

identical! Dr. said he could put them on top of each other and see no change?

They tried a Pateller Tendon Bearing cast, and it really hurt my knee. Dr. was

afraid that it would cause knee problems now that I am able to put weight on

it, so I got the sporty short cast version # & $*) It has actually been 6

months, with little change and some getting worse. I am currently using a

machine called a bone growth stimulator. It uses microwaves to irritate the

bone

and cause it to heal. I do this every day for 30 minutes, not bad, just not

seem to be working. I am sorry, do I sound sour??? Guess I am just getting

tired of casts and stuff. After the cast I still have to use a camowalker,

so I will still be in some sort of cast. Again, this is my loving admonition

to all you, because I love you, please be very careful not to fall or get in

any situation that you might break a bone. I know that none of us

consciously think..... " will this hurt me? and then go ahead and do it " but be on

the

safe side of caution .

Gentle Hugs & Prayers,

Carol M. in CA

Carol,

OK, here's some cheese for you!! I will pray that your leg begins to

heal, and you can give up your plaster leg for good. Better stock up

on disposable razors--I nearly burned up my shaver after my cast came

off!

Take care,

Judi
