Debate, not diagnosis

Hi,

I'm new to the list but not exactly to arthritis. I was diagnosed

with OA in one hip, and then in the other a year later. Last

summer, both hips seemed to go out, and now I walk like a

penguin with arthritis.

I had to buy my own insurance this past June, and I switched my

PCP. My new one doubted that I had arthritis, and so did a

neurologist and rheumatologist. Last week I saw another

neurologist (this one's four blocks from my house, and the

subways are getting difficult), and she said I did have arthritis.

So, three doctors say I do and three say I don't. I called my

primary today and she sounded a bit hesitant, saying that she

hadn't yet evaluated my information.

It seems like arthritis to me. The age of onset fits, and I have

pains just about everywhere one bone connects to another. I

am waiting to hear more, and I'll be having a third MRI in about

three weeks. Hopefully, I'll know what's going on .
