Guest guest
> *You're going to be lost without counting those steps. hi michelle, it has been 5 days since i stopped counting, and yes, it feels weird! i keep going to write the steps down in my journal and there is nothing to write >When are you > supposed to get your fitbit? they sent it out immediately after i ordered it (the next morning) from california, so after it travels across the US, it sits in customs for about a million years until they decide if i have to pay taxes and border fees on it. they might let it through scott-free, as they do for so many things, but it all takes so much freaking time, it is ridiculous. on wednesday it will be 2 weeks since they shipped, so im keeping my fingers crossed that it will arrive this week sometime. >I was actually going to ask you if you wanted me to get one > for you since you couldn't get it there. I just know how much > you're going to love it. Oh and no batteries to mess with. ) omg, you are soooo nice to even think about doing such a thing for me. but no worries, it will arrive sometime. this company seems like a good one... not everyone will ship to canada and when they do, they charge alot in shipping. the fitbit people did not charge me anything at all for shipping! and, yes, i am so glad to not have a battery to mess with.... i am so tired of that. :*carolyn. Guest guest
I LOVE my Fitbit! I even wear it while I'm sleeping. I wish I could wear it when I play volleyball but it falls off when I jump Jen > *You're going to be lost without counting those steps. hi michelle, it has been 5 days since i stopped counting, and yes, it feels weird! i keep going to write the steps down in my journal and there is nothing to write >When are you > supposed to get your fitbit? they sent it out immediately after i ordered it (the next morning) from california, so after it travels across the US, it sits in customs for about a million years until they decide if i have to pay taxes and border fees on it. they might let it through scott-free, as they do for so many things, but it all takes so much freaking time, it is ridiculous. on wednesday it will be 2 weeks since they shipped, so im keeping my fingers crossed that it will arrive this week sometime. >I was actually going to ask you if you wanted me to get one > for you since you couldn't get it there. Guest guest
> it falls off when I jump well, that sucks and would make me mad. i havent actually seen the thing yet, but is there some way you can tether it to your body or tie it to the waist string on your athletic pants/shorts? im going to check the fitbit forum and find out. where were you wearing it? thanks for letting me know... it will probably go flying when i use the rebounder! :*carolyn. I'm only a 34A lol When I work out I wear it on my side and I use the clip that comes with it. I've never had a problem with it falling off. I also use the clip when I wear it on my bra too. When I lost the first one the people at fitbit told me to wear it on my bra all the time. Not sure on a sports bra. You could try it, but with a regular bra it has the part in the middle of your chest that it fits perfectly in. As far as the sweat goes, its not water resistant, but I've got sweat on mine many of times. Just don't drop it in the toilet lol. ~~

Guest guest
ive been wearing my fitbit for the past 3 days and so far i really like it im glad that they are including a clip that holds the fitbit now (instead of just spreading the forks apart and using that as a clip). it seems pretty secure. but i was able to attach another clip from my omron to the fitbit so it is even better. the fitbit seems to be alot more sensitive to my steps and im getting way higher counts with it than i got with my omron. for example, all ive done today is work 4 hrs in the deli which would be around 4-5K steps... but my fitbit says 9K !!! im wondering if it is measuring my riding in the car as steps..hmmm. i had it in my pants pocket so maybe i will try clipping it to my bra instead and see if it stops doing that! the website is very good, everything is on there! im not counting cals right now because it drives me bonkers, so all of the food section is kind of annoying to see, because it is empty. but maybe it is showing that because i put in a weight goal, so i will taking that out and see what happens. right now im just noting my food intake in the journal section. i might start using the food section and count calories at a later date, we'll see. im a bit confused about the calorie burn which seems high too, but it does try to take into account your base metabolism (so even when you are idle there is a cal burn). , so i suppose that is why. of course it all ties into the food that you log so it can graph things like cals in vs cals out. the sleep section is very interesting... im surprised at how little sleep i got last night -- it seemed longer than that. normally i have to sleep flat on my back because of my rib, and i see that i wake up less often when i do that (probably because sleeping on my side leads to pain). i wore the fitbit clipped to my tshirt sleeve on my left side (non-dominant, as per instructions). as a bonus, having it there also stopped me from rolling onto my side as often. the auto-sync is great... very fast. and i like that it calculates a stride length so i dont have to try to figure it out myself which can be frustrating. thats all for now, im sure i will think of other things to say about it as time goes by. so far, it is really cool :*carolyn. Guest guest
I wear it clipped to my bra and it falls out. If I wore it "in" my bra it would be soaking wet when I got done playing volleyball!
