Guest guest
Ken, cataract surgery is usually a very simple, uncomplicated surgery. If you're like me, you don't like anybody messing with your eyes, but they fix it so that you don't feel any pain. I haven't had cataract surgery, as my cataracts are still at an early stage, as my ophthalmologist told me just yesterday. I also have an inherited eye disease, Fuchs' corneal dystrophy, which he also says is still at an early stage. But my younger sister's Fuchs' and cataracts were at a more advanced stage, so two weeks ago she had cataract surgery plus a partial cornea transplant, and she is getting along just fine. She has had absolutely no pain, except back pain from having to sleep on her back so the new cornea can adhere properly. I'm sure you will also be fine. My thoughts and prayers will be with you that your surgeries will give you much improved vision. Guest guest
Ken, I don't blame you for being scared. Any procedures can be scary especially with your eyes. Try to think only of the end result. You'll be able to see much better when the cataracts are removed. Of course you will be in my prayers. a On Nov 17, 2005, at 8:16 PM, kenneth samuelsen wrote: > Greetings, everyone who reads this. I am kind of scared. Guest guest
Hi Ken: I had my right eye cataract removed last year - what a difference the surgery made for me. It was unbelievable - I could see clearly again. The surgery does not take long, and I had no problems with it at all. I still have a cataract in my left eye, and when it gets bad enough, I will not hesitate to go under surgery again. Best of luck to you - I am sure you will be just fine - Kathe in CA --- kenneth samuelsen <squarehead52@...> wrote: > Greetings, everyone who reads this. I am kind of > scared. Guest guest
Dear Ken, I have a dry erase board in my daycare room where I spend most of my day and on it I write the names of people who need prayer so I can mention their names to God throughout the day. I have just written your name on it and will be praying for you throughout the day, as will my family. We have a friend who has had glaucoma as long as we've known her--more than 12 years--and she still has fairly good vision and has managed just fine. I know things having to do with your vision are especially worrisome, and I will pray for your peace of mind. blessings and grace to you! laura kenneth samuelsen <squarehead52@...> wrote: Greetings, everyone who reads this.
