Guest guest
Many cancer patients get it off the street which is a crying shame. Guest guest
Dear Marina, Hahahaha. One of our local schools might have the information you need. (and I'm not laughing about that) I used to work at the hospital next door to the high school and when I was walking to work there were always rows of teens in smoke-filled cars conducting their own studies. I'm sure I can get you in. laura marina_troi <marina_troi@...> wrote: Where do I sign up for the further studies??.....Marina > The researchers concluded that the findings of this small study > warrant a larger trial to study in more detail the effects of > cannabis-based therapies on RA. >
Guest guest
Dear a, Now you've really hit the nail on the head!!!! I personally imbibed quite a bit in both the substance mentioned in the study and alcohol when I was a college student (it was required--you couldn't graduate unless you spent at least 1/4 of your time under the influence of a chemical of some sort) I can honestly say that it is RIDICULOUS that alcohol is legal but the other thing isn't. The effects of the unmentionable stuff are so mild compared to the effects of alcohol it's laughable. I'm not validating either habit--I no longer partake of either substance and haven't for many years. But the whole time I was inhaling my breakfast I never got asthma and I found out later that it cures some asthmatics. It is truly all about money and what they can and can't tax. I know, I know, I always sound like a conspiracy theory dude. Just call me Mulder. laura...uh, wait, did I say laura? No, this isn't laura, it's uh...somebody else. Yeah that's it..somebody else. a <a54@...> wrote: Many cancer patients get it off the street which is a crying shame. Guest guest
It is so easy and legal to get your medical marajuana card in San Francisco. And the police are much too busy with other things than to worry about marajuana use, especially if the police themselves can do nothing about it. Alcohol is a much worse problem and I do believe that someday pot will be legal almost everywhere. Cami DeFries <gsplovers@...> wrote:, Right on Mulder! LOL! Guest guest
It would be so nice - I think it's just the best pain relief. I can't drive or function any better on any other pain med so why not pot! Oh well, someday we'll buy it legally I hope. barb k. Guest guest
Hey Mulder. I'm a Mulder type too -always looking for the conspiracy. Many years ago my pain med and muscle relaxer of choice was pot. The only reason I quit was fear of what was sprayed on it to make it more potent. I'd love to use it again, but wouldn't trust anything unless I grew it myself, and that's not happening. So instead I support the pharmaceutical companies so they can legally supply me with chemical fillers and dyes. There are many medicinal uses for pot, but the best we will ever legally see is a synthetic chemical made by the pharmaceutical companies that they can patent since they can't patent the real thing. Last year while in Cozumel, I saw it growing wild everywhere. I asked one of the tour guides about it and he verified that it was what I thought it was. He said it grew wild and everyone smoked it. But if a tourist got caught with it, they'd be jailed. I too believe that alcohol is much worse than pot. a On Nov 21, 2005, at 11:12 AM, Bauman wrote: > Dear a, > > Now you've really hit the nail on the head!!!! Guest guest
I have been reading the posts on pot with interest. It is possible to get an exemption from arrest up here if you have a medical reason, however it is still almost impossible to get a supply without travelling downtown (an hour from me) to buy some and quantity they are allowed to sell is minimal. My grandson asked me if I would ever consider using pot and I told him if it was ever legalized, I would try it but not until then. In the meantime I will continue to pop the oxycontin which does keep the pain down to a bearable degree but the side affects are much worse than a puff of pot. I agree that alcohol is much more a threat to everyone but the revenue in taxes etc. will keep it legal for ever. Hugs June ----- Original Message ----- From: Cami DeFries a, I agree - pot is MUCH safer & better than alcohol. Alcohol is a poison...have you watched the news lately regarding all deaths on college campuses due to alcohol poisoning? I get mine from someone I trust...it's homegrown & he isn't actually a dealer. He only 'sells' to friends that have diseases...he also has MS & that's what got him started. He's been growing for over 20 years and has never had any issues legally or otherwise. Great guy! His doesn't get anything sprayed on it...just plain old plants. Guest guest
Wow, a, besides being a fellow Mulder, I, too, was in Cozumel last year. It's my favorite place. I was there a week once and didn't have any allergies or any joint pain, but not because I smoked the foliage. I love the Chankanab (sp?) National Park. My kids snorkel and I go around talking to the lizards. I love reptiles. and sand. and places where you can smell the salty sea air instead of mold. We were wandering around the ruins there and I heard a scraping noise and saw a six-foot iguana slinking through the rocks. When do the Christmas card exchange I'll send you a picture. And about the conspiracy stuff.. Don't forget-- we may be paranoid , but that doesn't mean everyone's not out to get us. laura a <a54@...> wrote: Hey Mulder.
