Guest guest Posted December 30, 2011 Report Share Posted December 30, 2011 I did an HIIT workout on my treadmill today, and I'm not so sure about it. I ran as fast as I could manage for one minute and then walked until my HR came down into the upper 130s. The walking time kept getting longer... I kept this up for about 25 minutes then warmed down and stretched. I was dripping with sweat. But now, even after a proper warm-down, stretch and hot shower, my butt (piriformis) is trying to tighten up again for some sciatica pain. I specifically stretched to avoid that, darn it! Why, oh, why does running make my butt tighten up that badly?? I want the stupid butt to get tighter, but Not That Way!!
