Guest guest
Hi Would you tell me about the mattress. Is it a topper or and actual mattress? getting to the point if I sleep in one postion too long (like today), it taks half a day (if I'm lucky) to get the hip working. And I have a horse shoe shaped herbal pillow that I can either put into the freezer or the microwave to use when the neck gets bad. Still do my neck exercises that PT gave me. See Rhummy in a few weeks and may whine for another cortison shot. Depends on how it is at that time. Rose ----- Original Message ----- From: Boyd Rose and Bobbi, Love my memory pillow also. It is a great help. In fact so much that I went out and bought a mattress. It really does make a difference esp. with my hips and back. Hot soaks (esp in hot tub with jets) and rice socks or heating pad also helps.. In cold weather sleeping under my electric blanket helps a lot too. Hope you get relief soon. Guest guest
Rose, Mine is a queen mattress not the topper. It is great. It molds slightly to your body so it supports where you need it. I also have a memory foam pillow. I have always slept with my arm under my head and was having a lot of pain and numbness. I would wake up with my arm so asleep that I would have to take my other arm to move it. I was also having a lot of neck and shoulder pain. After I got the pillow it all improved a lot. Because the pillow molds around my arm my head is no longer putting pressure on it. It has been months since I have had the numbness and tingling in my hands. I was having hip pain and have found it has improved. I also found some memory foam house shoes at Sam's recently (lambs skin type with foam under it). They are both warm and soft and feel especially good when the ole toes and feet are hurting. I have a topper on a spare bed with not the best mattress under it. I helps some but is not as good as the mattress. Another benefit is that when I move about which I do toss and turn alot it does not shake or move the other side of the bed like my old mattress did and my husband sleeps better also. Hope this info is helpful. I don't know where you live but the one I got was made in Tennessee (my state) and there is a store nearby that has great prices on them. I just read back throuh my note and I sound like a commercial. --- rmcg <rmcg@...> wrote: > Hi > > Would you tell me about the mattress. Guest guest
Thanks for your information,. We have a kingsize bed, so when we next need a mattress, this will be right up at the top of the list to check out. I used to sleep with one arm over my face, so know what you mean about waking up with pain and numbness. And I no longer have the pain in the shoulders and the tingling in the fingers since I've used the memory pillow. Got mine at a health supply store. The ones at the drugstores and discount houses were labled 'too soft' by my therapist. Checked at Linens n Things and they wanted $40 - 50 more than the health supply store. No, you don't sound like a commerical. *g You found a product that works and you want to help others. Isn't that what this list is for? I really do appreciate the input. Don't know if those slippers would help me. With my back (have had spinal fusion and lumbar decompression, and will probalby have to have another fusion), I need really good support with shoes, or I hurt so much I can hardly move. I will check them out though (we belong to Sam's for now) and they might surprise me. Thanks Rose Re: [ ] Memory pillow/mattress Rose, Mine is a queen mattress not the topper. It is great.
