Dear FAIR Foundation members,

Welcome to our quarterly national newsletter. This issue features

diabetes as our Focus Disease and we are pleased to present many pictures

of the thousands of diabetics and renal patients who have been joining

FAIR at American Diabetes Association Expos as well as many informative

articles. Indeed, this is out most comprehensive newsletter to date.

fair and equitable bio-medical research funding without

favoritism for HIV/AIDS, and,

·

new organ-donor policies to reverse America’s organ-donor crisis

of one death every hour of one person on the waiting list or one who was

on the list but was delisted due to becoming too ill to be transplanted.

With 76,000 of the 101,000 patients on the waiting list needing a kidney

and another 355,000 on dialysis and not even on the list yet, it is clear

altruism is failing miserably to meet the demand for organs and these new

policies we are recommending are urgently needed.

We remain a total volunteer non-profit 501©(3) organization with no

paid employees and our President and 26-member Board of Directors of

surgeons, medical directors, dentists, pharmacists and patients advocates
