Guest guest
Hi All, I wonder if any of you had any experience when it comes to travel insurance and which insurance companies are willing to include the lap band at a higher premium (if at all) ? I'm travelling for business quite often and the next trip is to Singapore in 2 weeks. For the first time in 5 years I had to fill out an assessment form and I called the insurance company (COVER-MORE - what a joke !) to find out if the lap band is a 'medical condition'. They told me yes and that they would NOT cover anything to do with the lap band, not even at a higher premium. That's quite upsetting by itself but what makes me really furious is the fact that that they have no problem covering: Asthma, Epilepsy, Hypertension, Prostate Cancer, Stroke etc. - none of these conditions even need a higher premium. Arrrrrgh !!! So, if anybody can help me or point me in the right direction ??? I will of course be eternally grateful :-) Thanks a lot in advance.
