I slept on a waterbed for the first time a few months ago and was

very surprised at how comfortable it was. I do have to say it was NOT

easy to

get in and out of the thing. I still prefer my regular bed with my

memory foam topper.

I have slept on a hybrid waveless waterbed now for over 10 yrs. I would not

trade it for anything in the world. Hubby and I have our respective sides

of the bed adjusted to what is most comfortable for each of us.

I prefer my waterbed over any other beds. It does not create the pressure

points like a traditional bed. I can not sleep in full motion bed such as what

you have. I would not be able to get in or out of...and the constant waving

motion would make me sick. I also do not like that back lash wave movement

when one person gets either in or out the bed.

I have slept on regular beds when travelling many of which were in hotels

and slept just fine. Keep in mind these were 4 or 5 star hotels so they have

wonderful king size beds with down toppers.

For me as long as I am warm, I have a good pillow and no lumpy bed I am fine.

Subject: waterbeds?

I have had a full float waterbed for 20 years. While I was at my moms

taking care of her I slept on her couch. While my son was at hospital, I slept

a

few hours on a vinyl lounge chair. I was worried at my moms and at the

hsopital that I would feel crummy and have difficulties. To my surprise, it

seems

I did some better sleeping those places than in my bed.

Does anyone else have experience with RA and waterbeds?

As an experiment a couple nites ago I decided to try sleeping on floor next

to my son and well, that did not make me as miserable as I thought, it was

not all that wonderful, either, LOL.

Dreamer, I've noticed that I do better if I change my sleeping place from night

to night. I think it's because the different places put the most pressure on

different spots and it gives those spots a break. I guess. I go from the

couch to my numbers bed (one where you can make it softer or harder with air)

to my lounge chair. I hope this is a new way for you to feel better.
