Guest guest
Hi Sabine, Right now I'm in Germany - came here last Thursday after 4 days in Madrid. Need to go to Switzerland for the rest of the week and will fly back to Sydney on Wednesday night (28. Feb), arriving on March 2. Sabine, is there anything I can bring back for you ? Anything 'german' you miss terribly ? Let me know, I'm happy to help :-) I hope your surgery went well and look forward to hear from you. Cheers, > > Thanks . > Where are you now??? Have been thinking of you as well. Let me know when you > are back here. > Have a great time Sabine >
Guest guest
Hi Sabine, I'll try my best to get something savoury through customs :-) The first few days here in Germany were great: 14 degrees, sunshine, no wind... And now the temperature dropped, it's about 5 degrees and raining. The whole family is sick, me included. We all have a fever, sore throat, cough, cold, ear pain, headache - as usual in winter. BUMMER, I so hoped I would be spared this year. Unfortunately, most medications are combination drugs which include NSAIDs - and they are a big NO NO for bandsters - so I'm stuck with cough sirup and lozenges :-( On the bright side: I'm not hungry at all. I'm thirsty and make sure that I'm drinking enough (up to 3 litres of water and tea a day) but even thinking of food makes me nauseous. Oh well, we'll be fine in a few days ! How are you doing ? Getting used to the band ? I read that you're feeling better each day and I'm very glad for you ! My flight back to Sydney is on Wednesday night. I'm arriving Friday morning. So I'll have a few more days for shopping (it's winter sale right now and I bought heaps of clothes - they don't fit yet but will in a few months) and I'm happy to check if I can get Grünkohl mit Pinkel for you. What I'm usually going for is instant soups (Griessklösschensuppe, Nudelsuppe etc.) because Australian customs is fine with these ones. Let me know if you want some too. Have a great weekend ! Cheers, > > > Hello , > Thanks for writing. > I done it !!! > Well to be honest, you ask me anything from Germany, I always think about > food when I hear Germany. > So Gruenkohl with Pinkel would be nice. Something " herzhaft " that is what I > am longing for. > Write back, when you can, let me know how Old Germany is going? > Thanks Sabine >
Guest guest
Hallo Sabine, How a re you doing ? You lost quite some weight already ! My weight loss after the surgery was less... and I had a few weeks where my weight wouldn't budge at all - just to loose 3 pounds in each of the following weeks. Don't worry about the 7 ml band, I'm sure your doc had a reason why he choose this one. And please DON'T compare your weight loss with other bandsters weight loss. We're all unique and I don't believe weight loss should be a competition. I'm planning on visiting a friend in Bay and wouldn't mind going to Newcastle as well :-) What are your plans for Saturday, March 31 or April 7 ? Cheers,
