I need foot surgery

Well I went to the podiatrist today for the lump on my ankle and I need to have it surgically removed.  It's not a big deal whatsoever, BUT it can't get wet while it's healing for 2 weeks so I'm going to do it after Kauai, which normally wouldn't be a big deal except I have the 15K Shamrock Run in March.  I hope I will heal in time to be able to train.  He said I could wait til after the race too, but the cyst won't let me run that far right now I don't think.  I was able to run 6 miles a couple weeks ago but it wasn't happy.  Decisions, decisions.

The funny part:  now the doc wasn't 's Dr. Gorgeous or anything,, BUT he was young and attractive.  I purposefully didn't put any toenail polish on because I wanted him to check out 2 of my funky toenails while I was there.  So not only do I have the runners' toenails on the big toes that are growing back in from half falling off, The index toenails are REALLY thick, they remind me of elephants' toenails..  I wanted to pretty up these twinkle toes before going in so last night I clipped them back and filed the hell out of them to make them a little more presentable.

Welll... when I took of my sock that particular toe had a layer of DRIED BLOOD on it from over clipping!  It was both embarrassing and really funny!   Let's see, we have. discolored runners' toenails (he commented on those), elephant thick toenails with a bloody toe and an ankle cyst to top it all off.

In podiatry,
