I have both of the LWTLW workouts. I had a really strange, not feeling very productive workout this morning. Some days, this 5:45 AM workout just doesn't work out for me, this seems like one. I was all off because I mistakenly put on my good shoes for doing the yard work yesterday so they still had mud on them that started getting on my carpets so I had to clean that up, then just decided to go barefoot, which is still strange for me but I didn't seem to notice at all after a few minutes. I threw in a DVD to do a 5 minute warmup because I knew there wasn't one on LWTLW and ended up doing part of it just cleaning the carpet and running back up and down the stairs to get my water that I'd forgotten to grab! Then I put in LWTLW and immediately wondered why I was willing to listen to Kathy 's crazy screaming and hyperactivity at 5:45. I really love her but she's way over the top in this one! I did though, with her on very quietly! I had decided to follow track 1 with lighter weights and higher reps but couldn't figure out what weights to use. It has been a long time since I've done this one. I went way too heavy and had to keep changing out the weights and was missing reps as I went along. I forgot how fast she moves through these exercises. She somehow uses 10s for her heavy weights and that's what I tried to do but at the pace and the number of reps and pulses, plus it being 5:45 and I was REALLY hungry, it was way too heavy and I went to 8s and then 7s. She also doesn't do all the reps of most exercises because she's busy "coaching" as she walks around calling things out and being goofy so maybe if I did that too 10s would have been okay! The only other problem with this workout is that there is no stretch at the end (okay, about 30 seconds worth of one)! I had forgotten that (I only remembered about the lack of warmup from reading VF reviews and and no one mentioned the stretch). You stretch a bit in between exercises but it isn't enough and I didn't have time to add one one. I wish I would have now but we'll see how I feel later. Tomorrow is another 5:45 workout (Mondays & Tuesdays always are) and I'm going to eat at least a half a banana before I do anything, I think that would have helped today (maybe). Off to work now!
