I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! I had a low key morning, lots of reading, and then spent the afternoon at my brother's house. It was mellow and sweet. Lovely day. I have a sweet family.

I caused another mild setback last night. (Not wine - I've sworn it off until I'm totally healed). I was feeling better, but my kitchen was a disaster. I spent about an hour scrubbing the kitchen. It looks nice, but I probably should have asked DH or DS to wipe down the cabinets. That's where it started. I still forget. It's still unreal to have to be this gentle with my movements. I'm still learning the rules, but it's OK. I did ask DH to take care of the floor, so that was great.

I need to be ready for my walk commute tomorrow, so I'm spending quality time with my Kindle today. Keeping still so the noggin can heal. I'll probably do something to warm up my muscles so I can do some standing stretches, but that's it today.

OT: the KindleSpeaking of Kindle: I love, love, love getting library books on the Kindle without leaving the house. I can log into the city and county libraries, day or night. Between both databases, I always find something I want. The books appear immediately, for free. If it's " checked out " , I can reserve it, and get an email when it's ready. It has been an absolute godsend lately. If you have been thinking about getting one, the $79.00 Kindle is terrific. This was a gift from work. This Kindle is super light, the screen is super clear, and it has a great feel to it. It has really nice, rounded corners. The back has a slightly grippy texture, so it feels nice in your hands. If you are a voracious reader, you might really enjoy this.

I gave my other Kindle to DS. It's a wonderful device. It's a bit bigger and heavier, but still fantastic.Happy Holidays!
