Weight loss competition...

There is an office weight loss competition going on here... It's based on

greatest percentage lost between now and 3 February. It's a hundred dollars per

person, and winner take all! So far there are about 8 people interested in

signing up, about 50-50 men and women. Very loose rules -- no eating disorders,

not amputations (unless medically necessary), no body alterations (unless

medically necessary) and have fun. I know for the last round, there were bags of

candy and desserts that got left on people's desks.

I'm seriously thinking of doing this, but a hundred dollars is a lot to lose...

but then, depending on how many actually join, the payoff would be somewhere

between $5-1000. Decisions, decisions...

I went ahead and signed up for this! I talked it over with my husband and we

thought I could win. The winner from last time lost 11%, and the next one down

was only 6%. I believe I can do 20 lbs by February, especially for such a big

payoff! A real goal here!!
