Guest guest
> First off Happy Easter everyone! Now that the day is almost over! Oh, heck! I forgot to offer everyone here a happy Easter myself! Thanks, and I hope everyone had a good day yesterday, whether you celebrated or not. > I have been very busy at work, but I'm finding I'm eating less > though the scales haven't moved too much to show it. If you're doing a lot more moving around, thanks to the job, you might be replacing the fat with more muscle. Don't worry about the numbers on the scale. I'm expecting > that once all the girl scout cookies have vanished from the first > floor and into the freezer the scale will begin to move again. I was such a good girl yesterday. I could have killed Ed - after eating perfectly on plan for 2 weeks - not even a sneak of cheese or sugar-free chocolate - he brings home a dozen donuts from the grocery store yesterday morning when he went out for the Sunday papers because he was surprised to see no line in the bakery when he passed by, and that place is usually *jammed* on every Sunday of the year, not just Easter. I looked at them longingly, I sniffed them more than once, I even drooled over them, but I did *not* eat any. > > I have been promoted at work. I can't remember if I mentioned it in > my last post or not. Congrats! >I get to experiment all I want with the food in > there so if there is something I want to try at home but am worried > about it I can do it there first Are you working on any low-cal, healthy items or the usual deli fare? >I > have plans to find the diet coke with lime I love those commercials! " Put the lime in the Coke, you nut ... " . I remember when that was a top-40 hit back in the 80's (?). >but for some > reason I am dreading hitting 35.. Wait until you hit your 50's! Guest guest
Hey all... I've been reading, but haven't had the energy to post much. I went through my second rituxan treatment a little over a week ago. This one went much more smoothly, but I still have problems with tachycardia, and one short incident of bradycardia that they did not worry too much about. I did have fluctuating blood pressure, again, too. Insurance is being a butt about covering the treatments...saying yes, then no, then yes, then no....it is getting old. I left the hospital with a cold, and now have very mild pneumonia, anemia, etc. Not feeling too swell. I also was stuck in my cardiologist's office under lights for two days...one 2 hours, and the other a good hour to hour and a half, which sent me into another lupus flare that keeps haunting me. I also found out that I have some kind of stenosis in my left shoulder, which is not serious enough to worry about yet, but will be an issue in the future. At this point the cardiologist is not sure if it is due to plaque or possibly some kind of inflammation from lupus. SOOOOOO.... Here I am, typing with swollen, sore hands (why am I doing this???), tired, miserable, and barking like a seal. Oh, life is fun. Sorry I haven't posted much, but I've generally just felt like doo-doo, and don't have much energy right now to participate. I'll try to be better in the future .
