Guest guest
Cola Pop if desert is causing you stress, can you just buy a box of chocolate cake mix and make some fun red frosting and break candy canes and take a hammer to them for crushed mints on top? Cheap and EASY! You don't even have to eat it but I bet others will! Your hot tub does sound like a wonderful investment! It's so nice to be outside where it's snowy like where you live and be HOT, looking up at the stars! It's spiritual too! I like the hot tub at the gym but it's not the same as being outside in your own backyard...and then you can slink out of it, dry off, and go straight to bed. I hear you on the inlaws: one reason I'm happy about tomorrow for once is that for the first time in several years we WONT be celebrating with them! Hugs hi everyone! sorry that i have been absent... have been working in the deli like crazy all week... finally got today off to go to physio and my boss was calling me to come in. but i did not go... i didnt even call her back, i am so glad to have a day off from there. i had to pop into the store though to get dessert for the outlaws xmas party on sunday... got a huge choc cake, all decorated for xmas in buttercreme for half price the store managers were all over me, wondering why i was not working this weekend. i suppose that is why my boss called me... oh well, not my problem! anyway, just to vent a little... i dont think that it is fair that other family members bring something to xmas dinner like rolls or a vegetable, and i always get stuck with dessert which is too time consuming if i make it and too expensive if i buy it. im dreading xmas at the outlaws, like i do every year, but it will be over soon. then it is back to work on boxing day. no workouts all week except for about a million steps at work. chinook has been let out to run on his own in the mornings and evenings, but i know that he is missing his walks... im planning one for tomorrow am got sore in the shoulders the last time i did pushups and i have to be careful with that area, so i laid off and will start back up again tomorrow with more sets of less reps. then some kind of core workout, a stretch and a hot tub massage. that should kill the morning...then i have to clean the house all afternoon because it was severely neglected all week while i worked, and noone seems to be able to do anything but me! argh! then it will be time for wrapping which wont take too long since im an old xmas wrapping pro from way back physio went well today, i gave my therapist a cute gift (a choc bar wrapped like a $1,000,000,000 bill) which he thought was hilarious and rewarded me with a 40 minute session! wow, i sure felt great after that and still do ! i wish he would do that every week, but he says im progressing so im not due for another 3 weeks. he also says that the rib is still the problem, but as long as i keep the inflammation down on surrounding areas, then it wont get too bad. again, i kiss my husband's feet for buying that tub, it is truly saving me. weight is still at a good spot but im getting kind of flabby from not working out regularly. so as deli work slacks off, my workouts get a higher priority, which will be really nice. thats enough outta me! talk to you tomorrow...xmas eve!! :*carolyn. Guest guest
My Mom likes to take desserts to different functions at The Village (where we live,) she says they're easier to make than a dish....maybe I should send you her Texas sheath cake recipe, it's easy and delicious! Tell your supervisors at the deli to BACK OFF and let you enjoy the holiday.Take care, JenSubject: back on the sceneTo: exercisevideos Date: Friday, December 23, 2011, 8:45 PM hi everyone! sorry that i have been absent... have been working in the deli like crazy all week... finally got today off to go to physio and my boss was calling me to come in. but i did not go... i didnt even call her back, i am so glad to have a day off from there. i had to pop into the store though to get dessert for the outlaws xmas party on sunday... got a huge choc cake, all decorated for xmas in buttercreme for half price the store managers were all over me, wondering why i was not working this weekend. i suppose that is why my boss called me... oh well, not my problem! anyway, just to vent a little... i dont think that it is fair that other family members bring something to xmas dinner like rolls or a vegetable, and i always get stuck with dessert which is too time consuming if i make it and too expensive if i buy it. im dreading xmas at the outlaws, like i do every year, but it will be over soon. then it is back to work on boxing day. no workouts all week except for about a million steps at work. chinook has been let out to run on his own in the mornings and evenings, but i know that he is missing his walks... im planning one for tomorrow am got sore in the shoulders the last time i did pushups and i have to be careful with that area, so i laid off and will start back up again tomorrow with more sets of less reps. then some kind of core workout, a stretch and a hot tub massage. that should kill the morning...then i have to clean the house all afternoon because it was severely neglected all week while i worked, and noone seems to be able to do anything but me! argh! then it will be time for wrapping which wont take too long since im an old xmas wrapping pro from way back physio went well today, i gave my therapist a cute gift (a choc bar wrapped like a $1,000,000,000 bill) which he thought was hilarious and rewarded me with a 40 minute session! wow, i sure felt great after that and still do ! i wish he would do that every week, but he says im progressing so im not due for another 3 weeks. he also says that the rib is still the problem, but as long as i keep the inflammation down on surrounding areas, then it wont get too bad. again, i kiss my husband's feet for buying that tub, it is truly saving me. weight is still at a good spot but im getting kind of flabby from not working out regularly. so as deli work slacks off, my workouts get a higher priority, which will be really nice. thats enough outta me! talk to you tomorrow...xmas eve!! :*carolyn.
