Guest guest
Hi y'all and yes y'all is a word for all our northern neighbors. Is this thing and group working ???? Yep if this hits group and I'm sure it will no problems reported from yahoo. The holiday's took a toll on us and busy and starting out the new year. Let's hear from as many members as possible - our quiet members - new members just say Hi and a short intro about yourself so we can get to know you. How are y'all - good - bad - in-between - have questions - concerns - need info - any Dr appt's - testing - results - on tx ='s treatment - how's it going and for everyone ??? Hoping to hear from and members sharing about themselves as much as possible in all stages on tx or not. Just hit reply to this message. Sharing is caring for your support and info support is shared gained for us all. It's a win win situation. I get worried when group and members are too quiet. They are having problems or all is ok ??? All The Best To Everyone Deb hope spell check is working now and I still hate commas
Guest guest
Deb, Y'all is NOT a word!!! Sorry but it ain't. I'm the same as before. Going back to Toronto next month for another MRI & meetings with the G I & the transplant clinic docs. I've gotten very tired lately & I can't sleep for more than two hours straight because of the diuretics - gotta wake up & pee every so often. My balance is going & my gastro wants to send me to a neurologist to make sure it's the encephalopathy & not something else. I saw my family doc today & she started giving me shit for still smoking so I told her we'll deal with the liver first & if that works out, THEN we'll deal with the smoking - get off my back! SpYke makes me crazy, he's shedding even more than usual & has gotten very demanding - all I should be doing (in his furry little mind) is scratching his ears & stroking his back while he kneads me & purrs but he IS cute & a lot easier to deal with than a man! Life's a joy! Guest guest
Thanks for all the welcomes I am glad I found you. Next week I have the ultra sound and following week I have gastro doc appt. From what I have found it is at the best hosp for hepc in my area, but that comes from my own dr. He did refer me out of his group because he said this guy was in the know. Really what I would like help on is what in particular do I need to shoot for with this guy on first appt? If u have a area covering that I would appreciate the directions. Also on post I see a lot of abbreviations i'm not sure about. Tx=treatment? Dx? Thanks again guys and gals and I really do already appreciate the comfort of knowing I can ask anything anytime with y'all! Btw I am an okie and y'all is a word here too! If any of u a r football nuts as I am, u prob saw my boys become gator bait last night! Grrrr! Btw bk is my initials but ur right I do get burger king references often. I do have one more thing I been curious with because I have seen many different answers. Diet wise, is atkins a no no or ok? Guest guest
Hi, I'm SuZie & yes, there are a lot of abbreviations that we get used to using - tx - treatment dx - diagnosis bx - biopsy ESLD - end stage liver disease t p - transplantI'm sure I left some out - I've got encephalopathy & forget a lot. As for Atkins - diet??? to me diet is just DIE with a T. Nutrition for HCV+ people is like nutrition for normal people except for those who have cirrhosis & worse, then we restrict protein & salt. Check out the files at the group site, there are lots of things there on nutrition, questions to ask your doctor etc. Just click on files & voila! I'm Canadian. Here y'all is not a word. Eh? is! Dx'd in 1990 but infected in 1969, I'm in ESLD & awaiting t p. SuZie & Sir SpYke the Fluffy, King of the House, Master of All He Surveys.
