Today is cardio and my foot is a bit better but still hurt some last night and it was bugging me all day yesterday so I'm staying off it today (well, no, I'm working all day but I'm not doing cardio on it in addition to that). This is my long day too so I thought better to take it easy. Plus, I'm dead tired. This not sleeping plus all the craziness of the season is taking a toll on me and I thought not rushing to get a workout in this morning would help. I think it will, I'm just not awake enough to know if it did or not yet! :-) I've decided to go with a floor work lower body workout for tomorrow so no stress on the foot, then Thursday I see the doc and probably won't have time for a workout because of that, work & kid/Christmas stuff and Friday I'll plan for core on the floor as much as possible too (just have to pick out the workouts still). So, probably 2 rest days this week, which I haven't done since September, but honestly, this week I'm really okay with it. Too much going on and maybe the rest will do me some good too! :-) I hope you all have great workouts today!

It sounds like you need those rest days, . No sleep can take a huge toll on you. I know because I deal with it all the time. Do you take anything for it? Hopefully your foot will get even better with the time off. Hi & Everyone else!

I took one today, also. My back/hip is doing better, thankfully, I think I avoided a full blown flare up by taking it easy yesterday and getting in to see my chiro. I think it was all related to my tight hip flexor as he had to literally yank my leg out of my hip socket to get relief. UGH. Hurt like heck but then felt immediately better. Goes to show - can't slack on flexiblity work!!! It is feeling a lot better today but not 100% so I skipped working out. A factor in that decision is also all the "stuff" I have to do for year-end at work and holidays at home (I cut back on a lot of stuff at home for the holidays, but there is still extra stuff that I need to do!!). So, with being swamped in work and life and not wanting to aggravate my injury I opted for a rest day. I'm also super tired and not sleeping great either, I wake up and can't get back to sleep. I think there is something in

the air though b/c a lot of people I have been talking to have complained about the same thing. I wonder if it is year-end-Holiday-stuff that has us on edge?

I'm planinng on getting back to some lighter workouts tomorrow - thinking a bike ride on the recumbent at lower resistance (to get the hip/leg moving a bit) and then some stretching/Pilates/Yoga - whatever fits the bill. May do that for the remainder of the year to make sure I don't aggravate my hip/back and maybe start a new rotation in January (thinking my Ellen/Barre/Pilates program.

Take care!!Donna
