not sure what happened with my font, sorry about the size change. I'm experimenting with my settings and apparently that experiment went wrong! :-)

Core Secrets Killer Legs: Glutes, Hams & Quads

Excellent workout today! It was only 32 minutes, which is what I wanted because I thought I was going to be running around this morning and then ended up not (but that's okay too). It was challenging without being killer hard and very enjoyable too. I really like Gunnar a lot!! I thought it would be more core (because it is called "Core Secrets") but it really was all legs with the core assisting, which was fine too. You use the ball for some exercises, hand weights for some and a ladder on the floor (a flat one, not a real one) for others. The ball ones were the toughest. One leg in the air, the other with the heel on the ball and lift your body (10 or 12 times). Ouch! I used 8s for the weight work because I wasn't sure what to use but could got a bit higher. No compound exercises, which was nice for a change, but it just seemed like my legs were getting so tired that going a lot higher for split lunges and a couple of kinds of squats would have been too much but I'm not sure. The ladder work I wasn't so sure about. I don't have one and don't have anything marked out on the floor for it so I pretended I had one and did what he did as best I could. Most of the ladder work wasn't very difficult but I'm not sure if that's because I was stepping too wide or not wide enough because I didn't have it marked out. All of it was low impact, he discusses modifications sometimes and they are shown by one of the backgrounders. I noticed he squats and lunges lower than all the backgrounders too so I followed him as best I could. I did great until the very end when he somehow turned a lunge into the splits and used that for a stretch then moved into another stretch. This body does not do the splits except high off the ground (and I really don't care if I ever do go lower). I just got into the next position in my own way! One slight criticism, maybe. The warmup is all stretches, with nothing else to warm the muscles. It still felt good so I'm not complaining but I would have liked to have done more of those at the end (though his stretch at the end was decent too). My glutes are talking to me from this one, feels good!

Does anyone know if he has any cardio workouts?
