Guest guest
You think I learn to be careful when trying out a food to see if sits with me and my band. Nope, nope. The moment I get that taste in my mouth, I seem to lose all band commonsense. It has been ages since I have been able to eat a biscuit of any description. They just go down and get mushy on my chest and then it needs to come up again.. Abit like bread... If I really lucky, I might be able to eat a wee rice cracker but it has to have heaps of mayo on it to help the sliding down. Well this person here has been reading your posts about the crusklets, butter and vegemite and the mouth just watered and watered. I keep thinking about these kind of biscuits and thought that as they are sort of airy they might work.. Damn twisties do!! Sooo when shopping last night, I purchased a box and thought I would open for lunch today.. My band really doesnt want food until lunchtime and it would be something of a treat to have biscuits back in my eating program. I even got a few wee tins of spagetti that I thought would be nice to have on the biscuits.. All was going fine last night. I had my dinner early to avoid any problems during the night. I have the end of a cold still lingering on and I find that the amount of coughing I do of a night can sometime cause me the band associated night coughing IF I eat too late. Anyway, do you think I could forget about the biscuits being there in the house? Nope, they just keep calling my name!!! I was not hungry but I ended up at 9.00pm making myself two crustklets with the butter and vegemite and boy did they so taste wonderful.. I so know better.. Anyway, I dont think I need to tell you what sort of night I had!! Yep, night coughing and mouthful of fluid.. I starting to think that it might have been a bad idea for me to discover these biscuits but I might give them another go when I can be mature and smart about eating them. Gee my mouth is watering just thinking about how much I enjoyed them.. On a better note, I did not purposely go looking for the chocolate prunes but when I was shopping in the veggies department of Woolies, I did find the organic prunes but not the chocolate. I thanked Darwin for being behind of all the other states in Australia!!!.. Do any of ladies where the knickers packs from Targets? They usually have five pairs of knickers - full briefs in a packet for around $12/15 and if you go on the days where they are having a sale on underwear, you can really pick them up under $10.00. Now that is a saving for us big girls who seem to have pay a fortune for their smalls. Anyway, since June I have not found any knickers in Target like I just describe in sizes 18 and ups, which is really strange!!.. I wonder what they expect us big girls to wear hey??? Anyway, if any of your girls are out shopping for knickers in Targets and see them can you let me know? I might just have to do a interstate call to get some knickers!! Anyway, I abit like you Mel learning every day about this band with my latest fill. Some days i can eat in the morning, other days I cannot until lunchtime ... Its so unpredictable which i think is the hardest in living with the band. I have learnt that I do not need so much food and if I do the five mouthful bits and rest, I can do without any more but as many of us banders say, its the head that gets in the way which causes the dramas of head in bowl and cussing someself cause she knows better. I do live for the day when I got a real handle on this band and my head knows its also. Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend, be good and safe. I am hoping I have finally shaken this flu thingy so I can get in the pool to swim.. Take care, Kerry from Darwin
