Guest guest
Hi Barbara Your surgeon is right, there is a lot of fat around the stomach that will alter the way the fill is in the band, but I didn't think this was a factor that came into play so quickly. I mean, the fat doesn't disappear that quickly, and I wouldn't think it flattened out either – but then who am I to question these professionals? If you are having trouble getting fluids down, then you have to be concerned. Two spoonfuls is about the going rate when you are newly tightly restricted. Then you will learn how to get a bit more in by chewing and slowing down with what you are eating. Stick with it – but only as long as it is comfortable. The last thing you want is to be miserable, that is not what banding life is about!
