hi Kristie and all that have sent there sympathies. Just a short note

I obviously cant sleep being the hour that it is.

this morning at 7am I received a call from my hubbies boss to say he

collapsed at work.

Apparently he fell asleep in the truck and died, we think of a

massive heart attack.. At 36 yrs of age someone tell me why god can be

so cruel to take him away and leave his beautiful 2 and 6yo with no

father. For all you truck drivers out there you are not invincible.how

do u go on with out someone, how do u pay the mortgage and bills with

no income, and how do u tell the kids that daddy is never coming back.

How is it possible to be a widow at 33.

I know he is dead but he just looks like he is asleep. I was trying to

wake him up,but he wont maybe the kids could jump on him and wake

him. There has to be a coroners report because he was so young so I

think the funeral is Friday. this will be the worst day of my entire

life. I just want to curl up and never get up again. Knowing there is

candles being burnt out there for him gives me great comfort.

Naz, I don't know you, but I am sitting here with tears in my eyes.

I'm so, so sorry, & will be thinking of you & your family at this

sad time.

I'm thinking of my own truck-driving 34 yr old husband who works way

too hard in this & his second job. I'm thinking of our beautiful

nearly 4 y o dd who is the apple of her daddy's eye, & I'm thinking

of how we would cope if this were to happen to us.

Life just isn't fair sometimes. Thinking of you.

Dear Mazz

Thanks for posting this email. I think we can all feel the pain for Naz and

her children, as she says, how do you? even breathe after this. Her pain

must be terrible.

Makes you stop and think what life is all about and make sure that we live.

Cheryl

Dear Mazz,

Thank you for

forwarding this info onto us. Could you please pass on my sympathies to Naz, I

have never met her, but the thought of having to tell your children their

father is dead would be up there with the hardest. At the moment she would be

no doubt feeling numb. The family mightn’t be ready yet, but there is a

site that is helpful fur children and families, yo can leave a message to your departed

one, so in time it might be of help for Naz. It is the Bereavement Care Centre

it is run by Di and Mal McKissock.

They are great people who really understand. www.bereavementcare.com.au It

might be some time before Naz wants to look, but it is there.

Hi Anne

I know Mal McKissock I have had some grief councelling with him many

years ago and he also ran a course for us when I was working for the

Anglican Home Mission Society. Mal is a lovely compassionate man. I

will definitely pass on the details to Naz. Thank you

I did the counselling bereaved children course last year and plan to do the

adult course next year... I hope to do the graduate course in bereavement

counselling he offers one day. To me it would be like the pot of gold job.

Mal and Di both are wonderful, they are unpretentious, and yet share so much

in a small amount of time.
