Thanks for all the good tips !

I'll be cooking up a storm tomorrow and on Wednesday night and I

already told my line manager that I won't be back before X-Mas

So let's hope that I'm able to cook and NOT eat (if I would have to

drink Optifast again on the day I die it would still be way too early).

I am with you with the optifast! I have tried a thing called EzySlim

from Qld... one of those tea drink things, all natural yadda yadda

yadda. Ok --- Disgusting!!!! And it thickens up like those high

fibre drinks... not good for a bandit. A girlfriend has lost heaps

of weight on the two drinks a day... eats normally she tells me. I

don't believe that you can loose 12 odd kilos just with this drink.

Anyway, I tried it and all afternoon I have been wondering if this

has caused my problem yesterday and today. I drank it last week, and

ate lots of chinese on Saturday night, so I thinking it is not the

problem, but these " diet " drinks are absolutely disgusting!

Make yourself some nice icy blocks out of juice, with this warmer

weather you might be needing something to suck on.

Why do we waste our hard earned dosh on these things?

Sounds like you are really going into this prepared - good on you. And the more time you can spend sleeping after your op, the better you will be. My first band I needed the full two weeks. Not for any other reason than at about 2pm each day I needed a kinder kip.

And your optifast time is almost done, and you shouldn't have to go there again. It was only a small time of pain, for the long term best outcome for your op.
