Guest guest
Hi Tekgirlli, Yes, I developed a condition called Hiroshima's Thyroiditis. So far for me it has made my thyroid swing high and low. So far it has caused no major problems. I have a friend that became hypothyroid during treatment and takes meds for it. Kim T. > > I had my 4th week on tx visit with the dr. yesterday. Guest guest
Thyroid issues can be caused by tx. Some of these will be resolved when tx is over and some will continue. The thyroid blood levels are routinely checked during tx to help monitor whether the thyroid is being affected by tx. I had hypothroidism (low thyroid) before tx and was on medication. Fortunately, my thyroid was not affected by tx and I didn't even have to adjust my medication. Your thyroid is typically monitored through a blood test called a TSH. I would make sure that the doc continues to follow yours. You might do a little research on line about the thyroid to learn more about it and its affects on your body. Best of luck, Subject: ThyroidTo: HepatitisCSupportGroupForDummies Date: Wednesday, July 9, 2008, 12:52 PM I had my 4th week on tx visit with the dr. yesterday. They noticed my thyroid levels are off, probably a result of tx. Has anyone in this group ever heard of tx causing thyroid issues?
