Guest guest
Mel, Okay here it is, but I have added a few things I forgot to mention; Well here it is, as promised, Pyretta's 12 month update! I don't know where to start when trying to describe just how my life has changed since this time last year. Here are some comparisons that I can think of: I couldn't walk 2000 steps a day without feeling like I was going to die. Now I often clock up 12,000 steps and can even put in 18,000 on a good day, along with my swimming and weight work. I lived in mens tracksuit pants and tops size 6X. I now have wonderful ladies clothes to wear varying in size from 24-22 tops and 24 skirts and pants. (I must thank everyone who has passed on their larger wear to me, most of you know who you are, and as I have progressed through the sizes I have also passed those clothes on) I am not stared at everywhere I go and I am much more comfortable in social situations. My doctor even lost me in his waiting room because I " blended in " My husband has told me I am dangerous in the bedroom now. Hips were 178cm now 152cm Waist was 147cm now 130cm Bust was 154cm now 137cm My BMI was 76 now 52 Weight was 196kg now 135kg. I have achieved the fantastic result of 60kg of weight gone, more than I could have imagined. I haven't done this alone. Every one of you has helped me in some way. Some of you more than you could ever know. Without this group and the strong friendships I have formed with a number of you I doubt I would be here today, and no I'm not being melodramatic, I'm being realistic. This is not my achievement; this is our achievement and you ALL need to acknowledge just how much you have contributed to it. So even though it doesn't do justice to how I'm feeling at this moment, I sincerely thank you all. I will continue to try and keep shedding the remaining excess, either with the Optifast, or banded, whenever my time comes up, and hopefully will try to return as much to this group as I have received. In total gratitude to you all. Pyretta Optifast 3/12/05 196/135 To be banded on the n Public List First Listed 27/1/
Guest guest
Hi Pyretta, Wow, you are amazing, and you must feel like you've been given another chance at life. Congratulations. I know in the past you have shunned any publicity, as you've been reluctant to have your story told for your family's sake, but have you considered quietly contacting Novartis and offering a testimonial? They could even be approached to contribute towards your band costs....... In the past, you've had dates changed on the public list- I'm just wondering again if your fabulous sheer bloody-minded determination to shift your weight will work against you on this list- ie. you're too good for them, in their eyes. I hope this isn't so again- they must be able to see by now that if anyone deserves this chance and truly wants to work with their band, it's you. Well done girl, you are a star! Guest guest
Yes Pyretta, it could have been worse. It could have been a gain of 2 kg! EEK. Am going to start taking drugs soon if this doesn't get a brain and KNOW that I am the boss! lol Bev Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger.yahoo.com
