Yikes! It was at a prime time, too, 6:30pm - the 8:30 am class on Saturday has 15-20 members. I do like Lori (Saturday) better, but this instructor was just fine, and extremely fit. I had a good time and the time slot works for me. I'm gonna sleep in on Saturday and do the new Turbo Kick round, Round 48. I skimmed it, and enjoyed it! The best part of the Fall 2011 routine is that where you do a face off (half the class faces the other half for a fake fight) it was Devo's Whip It and the punches totally match the music the " dunh-dunh-dunh-dunh-dunh " were quick 1,2,3,4,5 punches. Hope that makes sense! Loved the ab work at the end - held side planks, then with inward rotation, regular planks, some crunches, and pushpus, repeat on other side. Tomorrow I'll go with Will and do shoulders, mindless cardio, and swimming. I'd like to get better at the Stair Monster.

Guest guest
could be the micro tears in the muscle fibers that occur when lifting heavy, and what give you greater muscle. Whatever it may be - I love the pain, and I do believe in " no pain, no gain " .Have fun with Tony! Guest guest
As usual, you are spot on, I'm sure in time I will once again " click " and have an " aha " moment that I go gangbusters and make long strides with the Diet. I do cook healthy and bring healthy food to work but get distracted from that very easily - but it's time to make a reason list like you had your WW groups do and focus on those! Hugs! One thing at a time... seriously. I know you want it ALL yesterday (who doesn't) but sometimes you have to focus on one thing for a while before you can move on to something else. The weight training seems like it is your something now, better eating will come when you're more able to focus on it. I remember when was really small, he seemed to almost regress in one of his skills and I was worried so I mentioned it to the doctor and she said sometimes babies start working so hard at mastering one thing that they don't have any time or interest in practicing other things they'd seemed to have gotten down but once the new thing is under control, then they're able to do both at once. I think the same is true of adults and I preach it at WW too. I know anytime I've tried to take on the whole " track what you eat, eat these things in these amounts for best nutrition and exercise most days of the week " thing at once I've gotten frustrated and given up because it was just too much. When I started taking it in baby steps, with mini goals (get this one thing under control first, okay, that feels good, what one thing is next " ) I made real and lasting progress. If you want it badly enough, you will get there, just keep your focus where you're really enjoying it being and once you get to a place where you feel like you can't get any farther without the eating working well too THEN you will likely be more motivated to really work hard at the eating part of it. (So in other words, you're doing absolutely wonderfully just where you are!)
