Guest guest
I'm not so keen on those discs but it sounds like you made it work great without them too! To be honest, me either. I thought I'd love them, but they're really a PITA. What's nice about the exercises that Cathe does with them is that you can easily do the same thing without the disks. ~
Guest guest
Sorry about your energy lately, indyrose. Your still working out and that's always a good thing. Hopefully once the stress your going through calms down a bit you'll get that energy back. I understand about the test, but just look at it as good news you paid for if they don't find anything.**----- Reply message -----To: <exercisevideos >Subject: Wednesday workoutDate: Thu, Nov 10, 2011 10:53 am My overall energy's been low lately, and it showed up last night. I wanted a good cardio workout, so I started Cathe's Basic Step. I practically know this one by heart now, and I've been doing it on the step's mid riser. About half way through, I felt I needed to lower the riser...I have been stressed lately with family stuff. My job has been going almost tooooo good -- I have to remember that I'm " just a contractor, " and this is not a secure position. If I get to liking the job too much, then it's going to really hurt if it terminates. I know the people I work with want me to stay, but it's not their decision...I don't have my new treadmill set up yet, as we need to clean out a new space for it, but I think I'm going to press for that to happen SOON! Tuesday I did a 3-miles, and I jogged nearly the whole time, rather than walk. My smaller treadmill is not very good for jogging/running -- I tried doing the C25K with it, and I kept hitting the rear guard with my foot.-- Very disconcerting! My son (6'2 " ) says he can't get a full stride on the old one. He hasn't seen the new one yet.I have a CT scan scheduled for tomorrow to check out the UTIs I've been having. I almost chickened out (for financial reasons) and the nurse talked me back into it... I don't know what to hope for. If they don't find anything I'm going to be really mad about spending that money for nothing! If they do find something, that may be a lot worse!! Either way, I lose! I really doubt they will find anything, as I feel fine. (Of course, I didn't have hardly any symptoms of gallbladder problems until the day it had to come out on an emergency basis!-- A side-pain woke me up around 5AM and by 5PM, the gallbladder was gone!)Hope to get a strength workout tonight.Indyrose
Guest guest
Sounds perfect !!! I also hate when I have to shave a workout short. I normally don't do it unless I ABSOLUTELY have to Nice work!  Good morning!  I had down to do legs this morning, but the DOMS kicked in yesterday.  I don't know if it was from Turbo B or Afterburn. Maybe both?  I went with kickboxing and did Rapid Fire Results. I did all the combos and drills and stopped it there. I put in Rodney Yee Power Yoga For Flexibility.  I ran out of time so had to cut the yoga just about 5 minutes shy of finishing. Man I hate that!!!!  With the kickbox and the yoga I burned 457 calorie, avg 136, max 177 and I got in around 5,000 steps. Not bad!!!    Have a great day!~~
Guest guest
Good morning! I really had no idea what I wanted to do this morning. I wanted a high calorie burner, but with a good majority of my workouts turned backwards I couldn't see them all. So I spent a good amount of time going through my book. I ended up doing Imax 1. I did the whole thing and then added on Cathe's Yoga Relax and did just the seated stretches. Man, she hold them a long time and I was in heaven with the pigeon pose. Imax was exactly the intensity I was looking for. I burned 515 calories (this included the stretches afterwards) avg 146 and max 180. I even got 6,250 steps. I'm happy with that. I'll do another tough one tomorrow and on Friday. Hopefully that will give me some good insurance to not add on any extra pounds lol. Have a great day!~~

Guest guest
Impressive, as usual! 30 lb bar for front presses??? OW OW OW! Good morning! I finally tried Cathe's LIC Tri-Sets Lower Body for the first time this morning. I did that first then did Meso 3 shoulders. I'm pretty darn sore so I was reluctant to do the shoulder work. You'll see that I was pretty wimpy on my weights for that. I really should've skipped it, but I'm wanting to stay on my plan. I have to comment on tri-set legs. WOW on those dixie cup exercises. She goes FAST. I wore my HRM and really didn't think I'd get my HR up that much, but I was huffing and puffing on a lot of the exercises, but especially the dixie cup ones. I would usually try to use the same weights as Cathe, but she was using too heavy for how fast she was going for me. Tri-Set #1 Wall squats 10 Dixie Cup front lunges Dixie Cup side lunges (Repeat above) Tri-Set #2 Step lunges and step ups combo 10 Elevated lunges alternating dixie cup pick ups Dumb bell squats 15 (Repeat above) Tri-Set #3 Double arm dumb bell deadlifts- Skipped-- (my back was already hurting) One leg cross over dip squats 5's Glute roll ins on stability ball SHOULDERS- 8 reps 4 sets Bar Bell front press (2 warm up sets) I used DB for the warm up sets (10's and 12's) Front press BB 30 Seated lateral raise 12 Seated rear delt flys 15 This combo was 55 minutes. I burned 345 calories, avg 128 and max 166. Have a great day!~~
Guest guest
Um... the reason why the weights felt so heavy is because they ARE heavy!!! LOLI need to switch up my sets/reps. Tonya suggested 5 sets of 5 but I like your idea of 4 sets of 7 better. Hmmmm... Good morning! Today I did Cathe's High Step Training (all 5 cardio cyles premix) and then I did meso 3 biceps and triceps. The weights just felt so heavy to me. Not sure what my problem was. BICEPS 7 reps 4 sets Bar Bell curls 40 Incline curl 17 Seated concentration curl 15 TRICEPS Lying extensions 15 Seated one arm overhead extensions 12 Cross body kickbacks 15 I burned 364 calories, avg 124, max 181. I have one more body part left and I'm putting meso 3 AWAY! Have a great day!~~
