I did workout 2 (plus the warm-up and cool-down) from this DVD today. I was expecting it to be a cardio workout but it was circuit. It was very short too, only 15 minutes for the workout itself which meant I got very little cardio in today, bummer. It was the first time I've done anything off this disc and the workout was pretty good, if you're expecting a circuit workout. :-) Ideally, you're doing this in conjunction with at least workout 1 (also circuit, apparently they all are, I thought, from the description on the case the 2nd was more cardio) if not workout 3 also. I haven't seen the others but I'd imagine that doing all 3 especially would give you a good workout. This one combines upper and lower body strength moves, sometimes doing cardio with the weights too. The contestants are with Bob, some doing modifications for beginners. Allie and the 2 men show more advanced moves. I did the advanced moves. The one really good thing about this is there was a lot of triceps work and I didn't think Cathe's PUB had quite enough for me yesterday so I got more of that in! I did go light on the weights though, partly because I didn't know how heavy I could go (didn't know what was going to be done) and partly because I didn't want to overwork already sore upper body muscles. One other really good thing is you can customize your workout from the menu too, including doing the workouts in whatever order you want. I like Bob a lot and he was, as usual, great in this one, so I'll look forward to trying all 3 workouts at some point. Alright, off for my super busy Tuesday (5 classes, 5 locations woo hoo).
