Guest guest
Funny you should ask that... I was going to post my December plan soon so here I go! I really like my upper body and I'm okay with but not loving my lower body and core as much both how they look and also from a strength/functional perspective and a few weeks ago decided that the rest of November (starting this week) and all of December I'd follow a plan to give those "problem" areas more attention. Here's what I'm doing: Mondays: Upper body (always a 30 minute max workout at 5:45 AM) Tuesdays: Cardio (always a 30 minute workout max at 5:45 AM) Wednesdays: core (or I might rotate this day between lower body and core, it can usually be a longer workout day) Thursdays: Cardio (longer workout day) Fridays: Lower body (or core if I did lower body on Wednesday, this is also usually a longer workout day) Saturdays & Sundays I usually rest or, if there's some kind of functional or fun fitness activity going on I do that (like raking or going rollerskating with the kids or whatever) For MWF, I'm planning for at least this week coming up for those to be pure strength workouts but am playing with the idea of doing AWT/circuit type workouts some weeks in December both for more variety and to get a little more cardio in. I don't have that planned out yet and I haven't assigned workouts to days/weeks yet either. I do have to plan next week's workouts by tomorrow though! I'm not used to doing core workouts for more than 10 minutes at a time usually but did 30 minutes this week with PHH Ab Burner and it went well so that was encouraging. I have a few that are long like that but not many so I can also do a few 10 minute segments together too. I'm not sure if I'll do core days as only core or pair them with cardio for a workout that is closer to an hour long on the weeks I can do workouts for that long. I certainly don't see myself training abs for 60 minutes. I'll play that by ear week to week. This week, I think most of my workouts will be closer to 30 minutes because we're getting the house decorated for Christmas, I also have to clean it (DH & DD started decorating before I had to do a chance to a thorough cleaning but at least they listened to me and dusted as they took stuff down and put Christmas stuff up) and get ready for my dad's 80th birthday party we're doing here next Saturday. On top of all that, I've got 20 boxes of WW materials for all my At Work classes sitting in my living room that need to be unpacked and organized for the launch of the enhanced program the week of Dec. 4 and I need it all done long before the party Dec. 3! So... between work and kids and life in general plus all this other stuff, this is going to be a crazy week and short workouts will probably be best. I also found short workouts were less intimidating and more likely to get done this week when the kids were out of school and DH was home for 3 days so I'll probably do that again during the Christmas/New Year's break. Including today's 30 minutes of raking I ended up sticking to my 5 day plan for working out and that is really great and hopefully I can do it through December too! December workout plans? So what is everyone doing for December workouts? I'm trying to decide what I want to do. ~

Guest guest
Thanks, ! This is new to me, actually have a plan to fit workouts into instead of following someone else's plan. So far, I like it! Re: December workout plans? Guest guest
My plan for the rest of December is to continue or in my case do Tony Horton workouts consistently. I also want to walk everyday. My plan is to do the strength training workouts on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. And do the aerobic/cardio workouts on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday. Wednesday is my long day of tutoring so I'm planning to stretch that day. I want to do 1 walk and 1 dvd for this month then next month I want to start adding in a 2nd walk everyday that I'm able to. I looked at how I lost weight before and I did it by walking A LOT and eat less so that's what I want to do but I'm adding in exercise dvds to my regimen.Wish me good luck, Jen Subject: December workout plans? To: Cathe_Friedrich_Fans , exercisevideos , fitandthatsit Date: Saturday, November 26, 2011, 12:27 PM So what is everyone doing for December workouts? Guest guest
I'm never sure from day to day...With my weight loss challenge, I NEED to do something just about everyday, but I run the risk of over-training, too. I'm not a good judge on what is enough or too much.
