I heard from my sister early this morning

I guess she sent me this in an email in response to my update about my son and

husband.she wrote it in the wee hours, so it was there when I woke this morning.

Hi there-

It's me again, asking for help:)

By the way, thanks to all of you who stepped up last week! Bill told me last

night I don't need to thank him, but I really so need to thank anyone who is

helping-it helps me tremendously!

Anyway, I'm taking Mom top radiation on Monday, and the rest of the week is open

at 2:45. Please let me know if you can help.

I now have 3 agencies working to see if they can find Mom a CNA- if any of you

have any recommendations- please let me know- they are saying they are short

CNA- I have run into problems because the first agency refuses to come back- I

think word has gotten out, and not many want to take this on because of that

whole refusal and stuff that went on- the 2nd agency mentioned the same thing- I

have now found a completely different agency from Palatine- pray, and keep your

fingers crossed.

When I went by Mom's today I was saddened-her sheets were soiled and pulled off

the bed (she was laying on the bare plastic mattress) and she had no food to eat

in reserve. We all need to pull together to provide better for her. I don't say

this to make anyone feel bad, but I think it needs to be known. I know I wasn't

there for the weekend, but if you are the last one there, please check with

whoever will be coming next and see what needs to be done to set her up for the

next time someone will be there. Garbage needs to be emptied, water and ice

refilled-sheets changed, pads, wipes, clothes and medicine for the next day made

available, plus snacks and sandwiches provided to last her until the next person

comes.

BTW, I know I asked if any of you had any extra twin sheets to spare- they will

get ruined, but if you are willing to give them, please bring them, it would be

a big help-

Let me know what you think, if I find a CNA, I will let you know, but until

then, I need someone Tues.- Thursday for radiation

, I know you think I'm a pain int he ass, but I need you to step up --

please switch the sheets from the washer to the dryer so I can change Mom's bed

when I come tomorrow -- If we all don't go along with helping one another, some

drastic changes will need to be made-we-especially Mom cannot go on this way.

Again, please let me know when you can help, Mom's appts, are at 2:45.
