Guest guest Posted December 11, 2011 Report Share Posted December 11, 2011 Ashton's lung are much better... we are trying to get her o2 down... we are down to six liters continous. sorry i haven't posted since friday but we have friends from alexandria come down to see the queen. Ashton is still very very ill but on a positive note the doctor feels she can make it to oklahoma before she spreads her wings and flies to heaven.... she is not going to get better but she can be fiesty and fight her darnest... She had a great weekend with lifelong friends.... her bff dakota is a young man with opitz syndrome has been her friend for about 15 years... he was up all night crying because he wanted to see ashton.... so his mom and dad came with their other son to see us.from northern virginia..... it was a great visit but exhausted ashton.... she has had a rough am and has slept all day long.... her pediatrician is talking to the palliative care doctor tomorrow to see what kind of plan of care they can come up with for me to best safely get her home and for her to be the most comfortable and pain free and happy.... my dad flies in tomorrow. markand i cleaned up the rest of the house today, my dad, mark and i and two friends will load a huge driving uhaul with ALL of our stuff and my mom and dad are leaving tuesday for oklahoma with my stuff.... ashton and i will still be at the cabin with mark until we get a plan in motion and approval from the doctor.... sigh plus connecting with all the right medical tam in oklahoma..she has va medicaid and the oklahoma hospice people want her to have ok medicai but i cant apply until we are phyiscally there....geeezzzzzz so i am tired, sweaty, worn out and tore up fro the floor up lol.......... lots of things in motion but no real concrete plan..... i keep saying hell or high water i will toss her in the suv and drive her myself 17 hours... i would need energy drinks i do believe but knowing my luck they would make me sleepy and have the adverse effect.... so we are taking each day with full newness making lasting memories and embracing with grace... many hugs, prayer, warm thoughts and love to all.... She and Ashton got to the docs office and is trying to figure out how to get Ashton's O@ levels down to 5 so they can travel. I guess there are certain rules/regulations regarding O2 tanks in planes, etc. Leah did find that there is a way to hook the machine up to a vehicle's cigarette lighter, but that only goes to 5 liters.
