Guest guest Posted October 10, 2005 Report Share Posted October 10, 2005 Today, I traveled 75 miles round trip to pick up a prescription for the new med my new/old Rheumy gave me. It's a controlled narcotic so the scrip has to be hand carried. I had it filled at the same pharmacy I always use the same as last month. Today, I couldn't afford it! It seems my $600 Medicare help is gone, and three meds for one month each was over $550! I had to refuse them because my SSD doesn't go that far. The pain med is Avinza. I don't seem able to take Lortab now because it makes me ill and doesn't help the pain at all. I guess I need other med suggestions that I can afford. Any ideas I can research?
