Guest guest
Hello : Further to your post, my daughter who will be age 7 in March was unmotivated by many things with a lack of interest in eating, drinking and certainly not requesting anything until we began regular consistent neurodevelopment and vitamin therapy. We began MSB Plus vitamins in June 2009 (she was just over 4) for a year, then began NutriChem's Customized Vitamin Therapy protocol as put together by Clinical Pharmacist, Kent MacLeod (NutriChem in Ottawa), when she was over 5. The Customized Vitamin Therapy was based on the results of a full blood panel and urine specimen and questionnaire. The Customized Vitamin Therapy (which we started on July 22, 2010) made a hugh difference to our daughter. Significant improvement with energy almost immediately. Her alertness was increasing within a week. She was on 1/2 the protocol from July 22 - Sept 8, 2010 and then went to the full recommended dosages on Sept. 8, 2010. by the end of Oct 2010 we started to see the cognitive improvements and behaviour improvements. It was pretty amazing to see what a difference the right vitamin combinations were making. At this point, she now requests a whole lot more things than she used to, including asking for something to drink (which is really hugh). She is also in full-time kindergarten which is adding to her overall improvements, however, I fully believe the Customized Vitamin Therapy is what has opened her mind to receive and benefit from her Neurodevelopment Therapy and learning and interacting at school. Here is a link to what the Customized Vitamin Therapy is all about from our Society's website (please note, we are not paid by NutriChem for this) http://bcdsc.org/metabolic-testing.html My daughter's name is Whitney and you can see her doing some ABA Therapy from this link on our website too (videos were done a while ago) http://bcdsc.org/aba-therapy.html We are extremely pleased with Whitney's progress. Most professionals are unable to tell that Whitney has a dual diagnosis. We will be doing another Body Chemistry Balancing blood test with Whitney in January (I hope) so that we can get any adjustments made to her vitamins. Hope this information is helpful. Wishing you all the best for 2012. lie Newell-Wagnerthe BC Down Syndrome Centre Societywww.bcdsc.org or rosalie@...
